Green house gasses

This is a project I am working on for my science class. Me and two of my friends have done this I don’t take ownership.

Methane

There are many bad Greenhouse Gases such as Co2, Water Vapor, Ozone Chlorofluorocarbons but the worst of the bunch is Methane. Methane is 84 times worse than carbon and is mainly produced from cow burps but it is also emitted from the production and transportation of coal and petroleum industries. Methane accounts for 16% of greenhouse gasses in the last 20 years. methane stays in the because cows keep BURPING.

Nitrous Oxides

Nitrous Oxide is the most potent greenhouse gas. It has only accounted for 6% of greenhouse gasses though it is 264 times as potent as Co2. However, Nitrous Oxide can be used to treat pain. Nitrous Oxide is a colorless and odorless substance that’s also known as “laughing gas.” When inhaled, the gas slows down the body’s reaction time. This results in a calm, euphoric feeling.

Reducing carbon footprint

How to reduce your carbon footprint. You can reduce your carbon footprint by not driving as much. You can do so by biking more and not driving short distances. You can also get an electric vehicle to not emit carbon from transportation. Even if you can’t get an electric vehicle you can use public transportation, use a rideshare company (hard to do during covid). Things you can do at home, you can turn off lights when you leave a room, and you can use energy-efficient lights. This helps because most places in the world use fossil fuels to get electricity.

Carbon Cycle

The carbon cycle is the process in which carbon atoms continually travel from the atmosphere to the Earth and then back into the atmosphere. With a lot of humans using cars, it is creating an imbalance in the cycle. More and more carbon is in the atmosphere instead of the hydrosphere, the ground, and the biosphere, which means more climate change. Also when humans are mining it can release carbon dioxide trapped carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

History 4 – Lesson 15 Modern Construction

Modern building tools, for example the crane, have made architecture and building much more advanced. One reason I think that is because without cranes how could you lift building materials up really high like you must to build a skyscraper. Or imagine cutting enough wood to build a modern house with a hand saw. It would be so much easier to use an electric saw. It still might take awhile but it’s better than a hand saw. My second reason is that with modern tools we can build more much quicker. We’re able to build a large Bridge almost in less than a year. And that’s a very short period of time to build a bridge. My final reason is that with the new building technology that we have we can build better supports and build more interesting shaped buildings. For example, the Seattle Public Library.

Modern building tools have changed the life of everyone because it makes building much easier. It makes it so we are able to build bigger and taller structures, and it makes it so we can build more interesting shaped buildings.

History 4 – Lesson 10 Weapons

Military inventions from all the way back to when people were using stones to smash each other in the head, to nuclear bombs have changed the outcome of War. For example in World War II if nuclear bombs were not a thing the war would have gone on for a very long time. Or when we came up with the gun if that never happened we would probably still be using swords.

VA-178-Special Edition - The Austrian Medieval War Sword – Valiant ...

Think about it like putting one team against another but only one has swords and the other one has guns. Who do you think would win? My opinion is definitely that the team with the guns would win. Even going back to one of the earlier lessons, the lens could be a very powerful weapon. It’s basically a laser.

History 4 – Lesson 5 view of time

Having a cyclical view of time versus a linear view of time might make you more pessimistic about the future.  A cyclical view of time is a view of time where you believe that the world is just going to continue going in circles from chaos to order and back to chaos and then order and just continue for eternity. Having a cyclical view of time makes you less motivated to work hard for a better future because you think that the future is just going to be back to chaos. A linear view of time which is a view of time where you believe that the world will have a beginning, a middle and an end will motivate you to work hard for a better future while you still exist.
